Which perfume lasts the longest?
Generally the strongest concentrations: parfum, extrait and elixir, which have more perfume oil than eau de parfum or eau de toilette. Heavy notes such as amber, woods and vanilla also last longer than citrus.
How long does perfume last on the skin?
Often eight hours or more, but it varies from person to person. Dry skin holds scent for less time; well-moisturised skin for longer.
Is an elixir the same as a parfum?
Roughly. Brands use ‘parfum’, ‘extrait de parfum’ and ‘elixir’ for their strongest version. There’s no legal threshold, so check what the brand says for each fragrance.
